Excursions from Marrakech:Discover Morocco’s Most Beautiful Landscapes

Labes Holiday offers a wide range of excursions from Marrakech, perfect for those who want to discover Morocco’s natural beauty, ancient culture, and unique traditions in a single day or a short getaway. Our excursions are designed to combine adventure, relaxation, and authentic experiences.

Day Trip to the Ourika Valley

One of the most popular day trips from Marrakech, ideal for escaping the summer heat and discovering the lush scenery of the Atlas Mountains.

You’ll visit the village of Setti Fatma, from where you can begin the walk to the famous waterfalls — a refreshing experience with the chance to bathe in the cold river waters. You can stop at the first waterfall, which is easily accessible, or continue up to the seven cascades if you’re feeling adventurous. Along the way, you’ll also find small traditional markets.

Ouzoud Waterfalls Excursion

Departure in the morning for a journey of about 2.5 hours to one of Morocco’s most impressive natural wonders.

Here, the Oued Ouzoud river plunges 110 meters into the canyon of Oued el-Abid, creating a spectacular triple waterfall. The view becomes even more striking as you descend into the cool canyon. After the trek, enjoy lunch in a local restaurant, with the chance to spot playful monkeys nearby. You can either spend the night near the falls or return to Marrakech in the afternoon.

Through the High Atlas to Ait Ben Haddou

Set off towards southern Morocco, crossing the majestic High Atlas Mountains through the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260 m), where breathtaking landscapes await. (Approx. 3.5 hours, 200 km round trip)

Optional stop at the Telouet Kasbah, then continue through the stunning Ounila Valley to visit the magnificent Ksar of Ait Ben Haddou — a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This iconic clay fortress, surrounded by almond trees and known for its golden light, has served as the set for famous films such as Lawrence of Arabia and The Sheltering Sky. Lunch at the Kasbah before returning to Marrakech.

Essaouira – The Atlantic Coast

In about 3 hours, your driver-guide will take you to the beautiful coastal town of Essaouira, the ancient Mogador. Known as the “Wind City of Africa,” Essaouira attracts surfers and windsurfers from around the world thanks to its wide beaches and ideal wind conditions.

Most visitors, however, come to explore its charming medina, stroll through the spice-scented alleys and palm-shaded boulevards, or simply watch fishermen at the port repairing their nets. Optional activities include camel or horseback rides on the beach at sunset, quad tours on the dunes, kite surfing, and more. Along the way, you can visit a women’s cooperative that produces precious argan oil and its many derivatives.

Agafay Rocky Desert

Only 50 minutes from Marrakech lies the Agafay Desert, a vast rocky landscape offering the sensation of infinity. Unlike the Sahara, Agafay has no sand dunes but stretches of lunar-like hills and stone plateaus — an unforgettable setting.

Here, you can enjoy camel or horseback rides, admire the dunes, or take part in quad or 4×4 excursions (optional).

For an even more magical experience, we can arrange an overnight stay in a luxury tented camp under the stars.
