Overview
Discover Morocco’s imperial cities and the enchanting north on this 8‑day journey. From Marrakech you’ll travel to Casablanca and Rabat, then climb to the blue alleys of Chefchaouen before visiting Roman ruins at Volubilis and the cultural cities of Meknes and Fez. The route blends history, architecture and local traditions with time to explore each city’s unique atmosphere.
Itinerary
Day 1 – Arrival in Marrakech
Arrival at Marrakech airport. Assistance by our staff and transfer to the riad for check‑in. Depending on your arrival time, free day to relax and explore Jemaa el‑Fna square. Dinner at leisure and overnight in riad.
Day 2 – Marrakech Cultural Visit
After breakfast depart for a guided visit of the medina, souks and monuments of Marrakech. Visit the Saadian Tombs and Bahia Palace. Explore the souk and wander the city’s alleys, finishing at Jemaa el‑Fna square where street performers and entertainers gather. Afternoon free time. Dinner at leisure and overnight in riad.
Day 3 – Marrakech → Casablanca → Rabat
After breakfast we drive to Casablanca, famous in film and home to the Hassan II Mosque — the only religious building in Morocco open to non‑Muslim visitors. Situated on the Atlantic Ocean, it is one of the tallest mosques in the world. In the afternoon we continue to the imperial city of Rabat, Morocco’s capital since 1912, rich in history with sites such as the Hassan Tower, Mausoleum of Mohammed V, the Kasbah of the Udayas and the medina. Dinner at leisure and overnight in riad.
Day 4 – Rabat → Chefchaouen
Depart in the morning towards Chefchaouen, a mountain village in the Rif painted in white and blue. Part of a natural reserve, it exudes peace and serenity. Walk the pretty streets, browse local crafts and enjoy mint tea on a terrace. Dinner at leisure and overnight in riad.
Day 5 – Chefchaouen → Volubilis → Meknes → Fez
After breakfast head to the Roman ruins of Volubilis, annexed to the Roman Empire around 40 AD. The site houses extensive and well‑preserved ruins. After visiting Volubilis we continue to Meknes, the Ismaili capital famous for its long city walls, Bab Mansour gate, royal palaces and the Jewish quarter. Guided visit of the city and medina, then transfer to Fez in the afternoon. Dinner at leisure and overnight in riad.
Day 6 – Visit of Fez
Guided tour begins at the golden gates of the Royal Palace and the Jewish quarter. Continue to the city walls for panoramic views and visit a pottery workshop to see traditional clay craftsmanship. Explore the labyrinthine medina and the artisan quarters (carpet weavers, goldsmiths, tanners). Depending on your flight time, transfer to the airport at the scheduled hour. End of tour.
Day 7 – Fez → Marrakech
After breakfast depart for Marrakech. Upon arrival free time for hammam, relaxation or exploring the medina. Dinner at leisure and overnight in riad.
Day 8 – Marrakech → Airport
Breakfast in riad, transfer to airport with private car and driver two to three hours before your departure flight.
