Overview
A compact 3‑day express tour ideal for travelers short on time who want to experience the classic southern route: High Atlas, Ait Ben Haddou, Dades Valley, Todra Gorges and Erg Chebbi dunes with an overnight in a desert camp.
Itinerary
Day 1 – Marrakech → Ait Ben Haddou → Ouarzazate → Dades Valley
Meeting point at your hotel from where we depart at 8:00 AM. Cross the High Atlas via the Tizi n’Tichka pass with panoramic stops. Visit an argan cooperative to learn about argan oil production. Continue south and take a 6 km detour to the fortified village of Ait Ben Haddou to visit the UNESCO kasbah. After lunch proceed to Ouarzazate and then to the Rose Valley, stopping at the Skoura palm grove before reaching Dades where we spend the night. Dinner and overnight in riad.
Day 2 – Dades Valley → Todra Gorges → Erg Chebbi Desert
After breakfast drive to the Dades Gorges and continue to the Todra Gorges. Stop at the riverbank to enjoy the coolness and take a walk. Head to Touroug for lunch and in the afternoon arrive at the Erg Chebbi dunes. Leave your luggage at the hotel, enjoy a welcome tea and after a short rest ride camels to the bivouac for an unforgettable night in the desert under the starry sky. Dinner and overnight in Berber tent (included).
Day 3 – Erg Chebbi → Rissani → Draa Valley → Ouarzazate → Marrakech
After breakfast return to the village by camel to visit the oasis and nearby villages. Continue across the pre‑desert landscape to the Draa Valley for lunch and panoramic views. Drive to Ouarzazate and then return to Marrakech, where we will drop you at your hotel/riad. End of tour.
